The path of ownership of Flowers by Kim was in the making for several years. After graduating from Cal Poly SLO, I purchased my first house in Paso Robles where I found my love for gardening. I loved creating hand-tied bouquets and giving the fresh bundles of flowers to friends, family, and coworkers. My first wedding was for my boss and I used all of my flowers from my own garden. That was over 20 years ago!
The demand for my wedding designs started growing. In 2008 I graduated from the Floral Design Institute which was the beginning of my floral education. I continue to take classes yearly to keep up on the latest floral techniques and designs. Not only do I love creating beautiful floral designs, I love the whole concept of event design. I became a certified Event Designer through the Institute of Wedding & Event Design to give my clients the highest quality decor.
To help benefit our clients, we’ve developed a line of rental decor. Our line includes draping, chandeliers, lounge furniture, vintage rentals, live trees, specialty linens, candelabras, and arches. We are also known for custom pieces that are sure to enhance your special day!
My husband, two boys, and staff work alongside me to ensure an effortless experience for our clients. My staff of floral designers and office assistant are the backbone of Flowers by Kim. Without their desire to create perfect events, none of this would be possible. It does take a village, and I have the best!
